MB Link
module:
The entire FP3/10SH series has access to the standardised MODBUS
via the MB LINK module. At data transmission rates of 0.3 to
38.4Kbps and with a maximum of 247 slave stations, process data
can be exchanged extremely rapidly.
C-NET
module:
Slave coupling unit for low-cost incorporation of up to 32
stations via RS485. The communications master is integrated
directly via two-wire circuitry or a C-NET adapter.

DECENTRALISED I/Os |
MEWNET-TR
Transmitter Master module:
Several master modules can each control up to 256 digital I/Os (32
stations). The number of masters, and therefore the number of
individual networks, is restricted only by the total I/Os of the
FP3 controller available. A primary prerequisite for sensor/actuator
networking in field applications is to save equipment count and
cost.
MEWNET-TR.
Decentralised I/O terminals:
Up to 32 terminal blocks connected actuators and sensors with the
transmitter master module in a space-saving way using two-wire
circuitry (RS485). 4-way, 8-way and 16-way terminal blocks can be
combined in a variety of configurations.
MEWNET-F
Master coupling module:
Up to four master coupling modules can be connected to an
FP3/10SH. Each of the master modules can activate 32 decentralised
slave I/O stations – all via a simple two-wire circuit. That
means cost savings and more flexible automation.
MEWNET-F
Decentralised slave I/O stations:
Actuators, sensors and various ”intelligences“ are linked to
the master modules via decentralised FP slave stations with space-saving
two-wire circuitry.
MEWNET-F
FP3/10SH Slave coupling module:
For, amongst other applications, time-saving ”in situ“
programming of the central MEWNET-F master. The programming system
is connected to the integral RS422 interface of the decentralised
FP3 slave station, thereby offering the FP programmer access to
all system components of the master CPU.

MULTI-MASTER NETWORKS |
MEWNET-W
coupling module:
The more cost-effective alternative to MEWNET-P is MEWNET-W. Up to
32 FP controllers communicate with one another via a two-wire bus,
whereby every controller in the token bus structure can control
data exchange at various times.
MEWNET-P
coupling module:
This enables up to 63 FP3/10SH controllers to be linked to one
module via fibre optic cables. Over max. 10km distance, two
parallel optic fibres ensure optimum data security in the network
loop.

FMS/DP
master module
permits simultaneous operation of PROFIBUS FMS and DP. This
combined master unit operates of up to 12Mbaud.
DP master
module
allows the FP3/10SH PLC to communicate with and control the slave
devices in the PROFIBUS network up to 12Mbaud.

ET-LAN coupling
module:
The ET-LAN coupling module from Matsushita rounds off the MEWNET
family with standard Ethernet (10base5) at a maximum transmission
rate of 10Mbps upload. |

HIGH SPEED COUNTER
AND POSITIONING MODULES |
High
speed counter modules:
They process 1 or 2 phase pulses up to 100kHz in one or two
channels, irrespective of cycle time.
Positioning
modules:
For system-integrated 1 and 2-axis path control. With a starting
frequency of up to 400kHz, this yields a speed of 4,000mm/s. The
resolution is 0.01mm per pulse.
A low-priced
alternative: the AFP 3480 pulse output module.
